April McGurgan, CIC Licensed Agent/Office Manager

April's history with the insurance industry began in 1988. She is a licensed insurance agent and her experience includes both personal and commercial insurance. April not only acts as the primary account manager for all public entity business for CPSK but is also currently serving as our Office Manager.

April's education accomplishments include in 1993, the CIC Designation (Certified Insurance Counselor), 1991 completed and received certification for the AIA Institute General Insurance program. April's next education goal is to complete the Certified School Risk Manager Designation program (CSRM).

April is also on the Board of Directors for Patrons & Farmers Mutual of Missouri and is the first woman to sit on the board since 1877.

April is married with three wonderful daughters, Alexa, Eliza and Sophia.

Susan Chisholm CISR Licensed Agent/Commercial Lines Specialist

Susan's history with the independent insurance industry began in 1998. She is a licensed insurance agent and her experience includes servicing and marketing Personal and Commercial property & casualty insurance. For the past 7 years, Susan's focus has been on servicing and marketing Commercial clients in the retail, service, contracting, towing, auto dealer and garage-repair industries.

Susan obtained her CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation in 2003 and is currently working towards completing the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation.

Susan resides in Lee’s Summit, MO with her two children, Jake and Aubrey.

Randy MayLicensed Agent/Accounting Manager

Randy has been employed with CPSK since december of 2004. He served as the accounting specialist through July of 2007 when he was promoted to personal lines account manager. Randy is licensed for Property/Casualty and he can help you with any of your home or auto needs.

Randy is married with three children, Kennedy, Josie and Brigham. In Randy's free time he enjoys playing a variety of sports, spending time with family and friends and traveling when he gets a chance. He and his family currently reside in Harrisonville, MO.

John T. SouthardOwner/Licensed Agent

John has been an independent agent since 1978 with over 31 years of insurance experience in the commercial insurance field and specializing in the public entity business. His duties involve marketing and servicing of accounts.

John graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1972 receiving a B.A. in Economics.

John is married with five grown children and five grandchildren.

Meghan MooreOperations Manager for Southard Construction

Meghan has been with Southard Construction, a division of CPSK since 2003.

Meghan graduated from University of Missouri – Kansas City in 1999 with a degree in Communications/Public Relations. Meghan is also a licensed insurance agent and real estate agent.

Meghan is married and resides in Harrisonville with her two children, Scarlett and Hudson.

Amanda TaberAccount Executive

Amanda has been employed with CPSK since May 2008. She attended the University of Central Missouri majoring in Public Relations. Before joining the CPSK team, she worked as a personal banker for a local bank. She is currently an Account Executive and continues to further her education in this field.

Amanda currently resides in Harrisonville, MO with her children Camryn Elizabeth and Cole Ryan, and her dog Pennie Lane.
