April McGurgan, CICLicensed Agent/Office Manager

April's history with the insurance industry began in 1988. She is a licensed insurance agent and her experience includes both personal and commercial insurance. April not only acts as the primary account manager for all public entity business for CPSK but is currently serving as our Office Manager.

April's education accomplishments include in 1993, the CIC Designation (Certified Insurance Counselor), 1991 completed and received certification for the AIA Institute General Insurance program. April's next education goal is to complete the Certified School Risk Manager Designation program (CSRM).

April is married with three wonderful daughters, Alexa, Eliza and Sophia.

Karen FolkReceptionist/Claims

Karen has been with CPSK for nine years and has over ten years of insurance experience. Karen is our main receptionist and efficiently handles our clients at the front window and over the phone. In addition to Karen's receptionist duties she also handles the processing of all agency claims. She is a licensed agent and continues to work on her education in the industry.

Karen has two grown children and two grandchildren.

Teri PotterPersonal Lines Account Manager

Teri began her insurance career in 1989 and has over seventeen years experience in insurance industry. Teri's responsibilities include working with existing and new prospective commercial lines clients to evaluate their needs and to provide them with quality coverage and friendly service.

Teri is married and has one daughter, Kayla.

Randy MayAccounting Specialist

Randy has been employed with CPSK since december of 2004. He served as the accounting specialist through July of 2007 when he was promoted to personal lines account manager. Randy is licensed for Property/Casualty and he can help you with any of your home or auto needs.

Randy is married with three children, Kennedy, Josie and Brigham. In Randy's free time he enjoys playing a variety of sports, spending time with family and friends and traveling when he gets a chance. He and his family currently reside in Harrisonville, MO.

John T. SouthardOwner/Licensed Agent

John has been an independent agent since 1978 with over 31 years of insurance experience in the commercial insurance field and specializing in the public entity business. His duties involve marketing and servicing of accounts.

John graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1972 receiving a B.A. in Economics.

John is married with five grown children and four grandchildren.

Ryan T. SouthardCommercial Account Executive

Ryan started at CPSK in October of 2003. Ryan attended Avila University and is a veteran of the US Army. Ryan completed the National Alliance School for Producer Development in Dallas, Texas in October of 2004 which jump started his insurance career. He currently serves as a commercial account executive and his primary duties are prospecting new clients and marketing of the accounts.

Ryan is married with one son, John. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, toying with computers and traveling the world.

Meghan MooreOperations Manager

Meghan is a licensed insurance agent, though her role at CPSK is primarily that of overseeing corporate business operations, licenses and public relations. She has been with CPSK since 2003 and with Southard Construction, a division of CPSK, since 2001 where she serves as a general contractor and property manager. Meghan is a 1999 graduate of the University Missouri- Kansas City, with a bachelor of arts in Communications/Public Relations. She is also a licensed real estate agent.

Meghan resides in Harrisonville with her husband, Justin, and daughter, Scarlett.

David GaleskiAccounting

David is our accountant/bookkeeper. He started with CPSK in the fall of 2007. David is a 2002 graduate of new mexico state university. When he is not working, david enjoys hiking and target shooting. In 2006 David successfully completed the Appalachian Trail. David currently resides in Raymore.
